This position is located at the Mt View Art Place. This position requires the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary $12.32 to $19.70 per hour

Essential Duties

Performs basic maintenance tasks within scope of skills and abilities, e.g, painting, minor carpentry repair, plumbing/irrigation repairs, etc.

Participates in the set-up of tables, chairs, tents, stages, etc. performing program support of County/Department events.

Performs dusting, washing windows and various other miscellaneous custodial duties associated with maintaining clean buildings and facilities.

Ensures the routine inspection and preventive maintenance of custodial and general maintenance materials and equipment; performs minor repairs within scope of ability or recommends repair or replacement.

May supervise a crew of inmates in the performance of general custodial / clean-up duties.

Provides maintenance and program support for special events which use PARKS facilities. Assists other crew members with set construction.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of experience in parks maintenance, landscaping or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Valid driver’s license, depending on area of assignment may require a Commercial Driver’s License.

While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals, work near moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock
